Entrance: The crowd is loud and fully charged like only a VWF event can generate, fan signs flapping amongst the flashing cameras. The lights dim down and the crowd falls silent in anticipation; guitar rifts resound around the arena as “Ladies and Gentlemen” by Saliva erupts out from the speakers; the crowd almost immediately begin to boo and jeer. Ladies and Gentlemen please, would you bring your attention to me. For a feast for your eyes to see, an explosion of Catastrophe; like nothing you’ve ever seen before. Watch closely as I open this door. Your jaws will be on the floor, after this you’ll be begging for more. A silver shower of fireworks ignites and falls over the stage entrance, bathing the metal in a cacophony of sparks. Through the display Mr Fantastic emerges; his trademark arrogant smirk all too present behind his dark glasses. As the silver shower subsides, the “Golden Haired Gladiator” pauses on top of the stage and with an air of absolute confidence stares out at the gathered masses; soaking in the animosity his presence has generated. Draped arrogantly over his shoulder, the cacophony of lights shine off the VWF World Middleweight Championship belt. Clutching the gold belt in one hand and the Middleweight Medal of Valor in the other, Mr Fantastic lifts them both up for the world to see before beginning a slow and deliberate gait down the ramp towards the ring. Ladies and Gentlemen good evening, you’ve seen that seeing is believing; your ears and your eyes will be bleeding. Please check to see if you’re still breathing. Hold tight because the show is not over, if you will, please, move in closer; you’re about to be bowled over be the wonders that you are about to behold here. Reaching the squared circle, “The Real MVP” motions over to the time keepers corner and snatches a microphone from the apprehensive ring announcer before slowly climbing up the metal steps and entering the ring. Pacing around the ring, Mr Fantastic stares out at the jeering crowd; his air of pure arrogance driving their mood deeper into loathing. Welcome to the show!!

Appearance: Mr Fantastic looks like he should be a male model. With an athletic physique, shoulder length golden hair and piercing blue eyes, the "Real MVP" is never seen outside of the ring without being dressed, head to toe, in the finest clothes money can buy. Inside the squared circle, Mr Fantastic wears Silver and gold trunks with the words Simply Fantastic stitched on the back.

Background:

The man known as Mr Fantastic started his career in the now defunct Hardcore Wrestling Alliance (HWA). A stranger to the hardcore style of fighting, at first Mr Fantastic struggled to make a name for himself amongst a roster filled with self confessed masochists and suicidal mad men. It was in a fate filled encounter with the then HWA Extreme Champion, Mad Dog Matthews, that Mr Fantastic finally came into his own. Though he failed to take the title from Matthews, Fantastic established himself as a man that could take hardcore wrestling to the very limits of what was publicly accepted.

After the HWA, Mr Fantastic found himself in the International Championship Wrestling Association (ICWA). It was here that Mr Fantastic had his first taste of Championship gold. After months of feuding with the ICWA Television Champion, Poison, the general manager of the federation’s flagship show, Saturday Night Suicide, finally scheduled a match in which the Television Championship would be on the line. The match took place at the federations May Madness Pay Per View. It was a hard fought contest by both competitors but when the dust settled, it was the “Golden Haired Gladiator” that lifted the belt. Unfortunately the next night on Monday Massacre, a well timed chair shot saw the title back around the waist of Poison. Revenge they say is a dish best served cold and that couldn’t have been any clearer when Fantastic and Poison met for what would be their penultimate match at the ICWA’s December Pay Per View, Avalanche. Poison, having only just regained the Television Championship for a record breaking fourth time, put the gold on the line in a ladder match. Once again it was Mr Fantastic that proved to be the better man and the night ended with the start of his second reign as champion. Over the course of the next eight months, Mr Fantastic would also go on to become a three time holder of the ICWA’s Universal Championship.

When the ICWA closed it’s doors, Mr Fantastic moved on to the Hardcore Championship Wrestling Federation (HCWF). Though his time in the HCWF was brief, his reign as the HCWF Intercontinental Champion left the federation reeling after his departure.

Next came the Internet Wrestling Federation (IWF). In only his first match for the IWF, Fantastic captured the federations Internet Championship. He went on to hold the Internet title on four separate occasions; his final reign lasting a record breaking five months. The night that saw his fourth reign as Internet Champion end, also saw Fantastic lift United States title for the first of what would turn out to be three reigns. After capturing the US title for a third time, Mr Fantastic grew frustrated at what he felt was the federation owner’s inability to spot and promote real talent. Taking matters into his own hands, Fantastic attacked the then IWF World Heavyweight Champion, Michael Saint. The World Champions retaliation cost Fantastic the United States gold. In retrospect, Saint should probably have left well alone. A match was scheduled for the Ragnorok Pay Per View. As the final bell sounded, it was Mr Fantastic that stood tall capturing his very first World Championship. However the glorious moment did not last long. Moments after having his hand raised, the celebrations were cut short by the interruption of the IWF’s CEO, Donald McKay. McKay made his way to the ring and announced that the match decision had been ruled null and void. Stating his dislike for a competitor as arrogant as Mr Fantastic, McKay forced the “Golden Haired Gladiator” to return the World title to Michael Saint. Over the course of the next three months, Mr Fantastic proved that he was one of, if not the, best fighters in the entire IWF, winning the federations Royal Rumble event and its Hell in a Cell Tournament. In the end it was a decision handed down from the board of directors that allowed Fantastic to challenge once more for the IWF World Championship. In the months that Donald McKay had banned Fantastic from competing in the World title scene; Michael Saint had lost and regained the title twice. With the directive handed down from the board of directors, Fantastic was granted another shot at Saint. The match was scheduled to be Hell in the Cell match. As expected, the match was a bloody fight that saw Mr Fantastic once again stand tall. In a case of serious déjà vu, Donald McKay again interrupted Fantastic’s celebration and announced once more that the he was overturning the title decision. Before Fantastic handed over the belt, the event was interrupted once more; however this time saw the arrival of McKay’s daughter Francine. She announced that in the interests of the IWF, the board of directors had voted to suspend Donald McKay and in his place have Francine run the company. Her first decree was to overturn her father’s overturned decision and announce Mr Fantastic as the new IWF World Heavyweight Champion. It was later discovered that Mr Fantastic had seduced Francine McKay and in turn had tricked her into removing her father from his position. Soon after, Donald McKay not only returned to power but also saw to it that Mr Fantastic was stripped of his title. Beyond frustrated with the way that he was being treated, Fantastic quit.

It turned out to be the federation’s loss as Mr Fantastic went on to debut the very next night on the flagship show of the IWF’s biggest rival; the Internet Championship Wrestling Federation (ICWF). On his debut night, Fantastic defeated ICWF mainstay, David Jones to capture the European Championship. Three months after his arrival, no one had even come close to taking the European gold from his hands; until the invasion. At the ICWF Pay Per View, Fantastic defended his gold against “Trash Talk” Terry Wright. As the match came to its closing moments, Fantastic set Wright up for his signature Simply Fantastic splash, when suddenly out from the crowd the IWF’s Francine McKay emerged. With the officials attention fixed on trying to remove the female interloper he failed to see the invading form of Michael Saint intervene. Throwing Mr Fantastic off the top rope, Saint proceeded to pull the unmoving form of Terry Wright over the defending Champion, before disappearing back into the crowd. Fantastic dropped the gold. Two weeks later, Mr Fantastic dropped Wright and reclaimed the European Championship; however in a cruel twist of fate Fantastic sustained an injury during the match that put him on the shelf causing the powers that be to vacate the gold. Coming back from injury, Mr Fantastic battled on and soon found himself the number one contender for the ICWF’s World Heavyweight Championship. The title was held by an ICWF legend; the mighty Razor. Although Razor had only held the World title for a couple of weeks, he had been on an unprecedented eighteen month unbeaten streak. The match was set, the title would be put on the line in a match that had quickly become synonymous with Mr Fantastic’s name; a Hell in the Cell match. Both men gave it their all but it was the “Golden Haired Gladiator” that came out on top, capturing the World Heavyweight Championship and in the process ending Razor’s unbeaten streak. Mr Fantastic would go on to hold the ICWF’s World title a total of four times.

When Mr Fantastic dropped the ICWF title for the fourth and final time, VWF Owner, the Viking King, seized the opportunity to open up negotiations with the ICWF Superstar in the hopes that the “Golden Haired Gladiator” would sign with the VWF. After months of painstaking talks and contract redrafts, Mr Fantastic agreed to sign with the Viking King’s company. The VWF owner knew that signing a talent the likes of Mr Fantastic was not going to be cheap and by doing so has broken the bank, making Mr Fantastic the most expensive signing in the history of the VWF.
