Background:
Crimson Lightening is recognized as having been in the very first VWF match ever, way back in 1998. It is not widely known however, that Phoenix was his opponent, and lost. Ever since then, Phoenix has never left The VWF, and really hasn't won a match either. Because of this repeated loss over literally years, Phoenix's ego has taken more damage than his body, and he really doesn't think that he can win anything. What he does think though, is that whatever match he's in, he deserves to be in something better. And in those matches that should be better, he should be handed a win and a belt for his tenure in The VWF. While records are lost of his reigns, he somehow ended up getting the Hardcore Championship somewhere along the line back in 2002, but only held it for forteen seconds before he was beaten up by an inanimate crow bar to lose the belt. Oddly enough, this was not the first time an object that does not have actual life, took on a life of it's own and won the Hardcore Belt. However, that's a story for someone else's profile.
